Hey everyone ! First off happy holidays hope everyone's blessed. Firstly , I have recently made the choice of making it a goal to join the forces. Secondly , I have many questions , some have been answered via Army.ca others from bad sources . My first question would be, if I have  about 5 thousand in collections will I still have a competitive application. Unfortunately I haven't chosen a position in the forces so I'm unable to specify what branch I would apply to or what for (98.9% it would be a naval or ground force , trade). This leads to a few more beautiful and more then likely obvious answers, but bare with me . I am recently finishing adult school ( grade 12, receiving my last 4 subjects at a acedemic level) . If I were to apply during this time , would my ROTC recognize myself with a grade 12 Ontario education making me eligible to apply for a larger group of jobs and or positions? Thirdly , does the canadian forces look for different cultures when accepting applications? I've heard police do so but have no idea when it comes to our amazing Forces here in Canada.
I'm aware some or all these may be buried in the thousands of pages of help full forums , but please take the time to answer these as I would do the same. Devin Fraser

It will cause you to have to do more paperwork when joining, and you will have to prove to them that you have a plan to re pay the money so they are not receiving collections calls looking for you.

edit: if you search there is lots on this

Thanks. Im content with that , I very much so plan on paying it back. I'm limited to a cell phone to browse so some topics I am still trying to find, if there's any links feel free to forward me in the right direction
