Wanted:  150,000 blank .303 rounds.
.... 1. The Department of National Defence has a requirement to procure 150,000 .303 British Blank Short for delivery to four consignees listed below.

2. Mandatory Criteria for Cartridge Calibre .303 British, Blank, Short

    Must be Manufactured in Brass (SAAMI or CIP spacification)
    Must have a propellant charge of smokeless rifle powder of 15.000 grains +/- 1.000 grain
    Crimp must not allow any leakage of ppropellant.
    Cartridge must be 2.200 inches in length when crimped.  Measurement taken from base of cartridge to top of cartridge.
    When fired in rifle .303 calibre No. 4 all marks, the expended cartridge must not be longer than 2.274 inches in length from base to top of cartridges case ....

Notice:  DND buying bits o' Boeing 777 (almost $4M worth) for training purposes:

Wanted:  someone to train naval electronic and weapon techs:

Requirement: To provide post secondary academic institute required technical training, the pedagogical supplies and the logistic support for the Department of National DEFENCE (DND) sponsored students and staff under the plan entitled the Naval Combat Systems Technician Training Plan (NCSTTP).

Background: The Naval Combat Systems Technician Training Plan has provided essential academic training for naval technicians since 1992. Given the current and projected recruiting shortfalls in the various naval technical trades, the NCSTTP Program is extremely important to the health of the Naval Combat Systems Technical Trades.

The purpose of the Naval Combat System Technician Training Program(NCSTTP) is to attract and recruit qualified personnel who will then undertake a fully subsidized technician level course of studies at a recognized post secondary academic
institution. Both male and female, civilian and serving military personnel will be recruited into the program. The NCSTTP will provide for course instruction in the English language ....
