Whats a good knife to get?

Hello,

I am currently awaiting BIQ training in Wainwright and was wondering whats a good knife for me to get? The multi tool is alright but i want a knife, preferably a folding knife. My friend whos in 2nd Bat told me to look at the ka-bar or buck knifes. Looked through buck and i see they have more folding knifes. Anyway if anyone could let me know which one they think is good, not only from the bucks or ka bars but if you have a diff knife and you know its good let me know the make and model and why its good. I'm training for infantry so i need a durable, strong, sharp knife. Thx
