Getting better (they must have been reading the criticism of the waving retards here), but it still seems to emphasise "Admin" over "Warfighting".

trust me, from sources placed deep amongst the enemy there, they're still teaching politically correct nonsense, and lowering standards at every opportunity, all in the name of the Grand Social Reform, and numbers. For the love of God, don't fail anyone! It's all about numbers. Quantity, not quality, Form over substance. Peacekeepers, not warriors.
The Battle Schools are still receiving untrained motley hordes, rather than recruits. And the Battalions are still receiving substandard gangs rather than platoons of soldiers.

There's still a long way to go. But, there is a bright side. There will soon be a major shake-up in Standards in that part of the world.

On the fitness part of the new site...the standards were higher than the old.  Is this the new CF standard.  I sure hope so...it's about time fitness became a priority.

Fittness at CFLRS is a joke if anything it makes you more lazy in the physical aspect of it but god do you ever learn how to be a good janitor. all that quality training set in the biggest seperatist city in quebec, does it ever make for a lovely combination.

No..the standards are the same standards from before, 19 pushups and 19 situps. These are the SUGGESTIONS for how good of shape you should be in when you get to BMQ..

P....

Now all they need to do is overhaul the recruiting website  ::)

The new site is awesome. Actually interesting to read. I hope the PT in the schedules there is pretty intesnse, because it only has like one morning run a week...

No, the pt is not intense, like benoit said its a joke.  I usually sweat more going up the stairs after pt then i did during pt.

It depends on your staff. If your staff are lazy, you do the minimum. If you had my staff, you do more pushups then you thought was humanly possible. No really, they scared me. We would be dying and sweating and they wouldn't even have broken a sweat yet. Nothing like an hour of pushups in 35 degree heat in a parking lot....(I'm not kidding, it was actually kinda fun in a sick way, knowing that my chubby butt was getting in shape by the minute).

Yup, that's what I'm talkin about! I want to be pushed and I want it to be hard. What's the point if I go there and do barely anything? I want to come home in December in a lot better shape.

Not sure bout a full 60mins of pushups on pavement in 35degrees, something a little less intense while still remaining intense. That musta been hell! :salute:

cheesy quizzes.................and a 3d virtual tour of a cargo truck

gimme a break.........

Hummm... lets see if I can remember back to Oct - Dec 04.

Morning inspection followed by 25 pushups.
RV at green lockers to be marched to first class followed by 25 pushups
After arriving at first class ... 25 more
"picked up" by the marching NCO ... 25 more
Marched to lunch .... 25 more
After lunch ... another 25
before o group ... 25
If you received mail ... another 25 to get it (mail that is)

Now ... if anybody moaned, or otherwise complained, we got more.

I enjoyed every minute of it. Dropped approx 20 lbs in 10 weeks. (we also jogged, did many squats, etc)

Oh .. almost forgot... if you made a mistake (calling a Master Seaman a Master Corporal ... another 25.

Like I said ... I loved it... and I'm an "old guy" (40).

Cheers

There are so many valid things I would like to see a 3D tour of. Like sleeping quarters, or the gun range. But to show a cargo truck.    *I'm laughing so hard, i started to cry*    It's like some photo student, took the picture to show that they are capable of doing it.  :crybaby:
