Well, this is interesting.

Projects could include electrification of new military vehicles and future power options for the armed forces, which will increase operational effectiveness.

One of the projects that may benefit from the partnership is the electrification of armoured vehicles (Project LURCHER), which aims to meet the Army’s intention to transition to electric vehicle technology.

What could possibly go wrong?
Was at the auto show yesterday, had to be 5 different small companies offering to retrofit existing vehicles into EV's. Basically take the motor and tranny out and put in a electric motor, control unit and batteries. On 4x4, you connect straight to the transfer case and everything else stays the same. I did not see any attempts to get regenerative braking.
