I don't think, " Happy" should be attached to Remembrance Day.  Its a day for remembering those who made the supreme sacrifice.

"Happy" knowing that many laid down their lives that others may live.  "Happy" knowing that I can speak freely, without recourse to suppression because of them.  "Happy" that such men and women lived, and do live now.


Maybe it's just me, but I can be "happy" for a lot of reasons on Remembrance Day.  I can also be sad, solemn and hopefully pensive.


Here's to remembering.
