SQ tips/equipment

Hello,
im leaving for my reserves SQ and PP1 at valcartier the 25th, and i was wondering if anybody had like some tips that could be useful for my courses and if theres any equipment that you thought you should of brought or that was real useful during? I already bought a headlamp. Anyways, looking forward to your responses!
