RHFC Piper offically has become spam

No.. this is not a shot at Piper...

I received an email today from someone.... the title of the email
was "Letter from a soldier".  It was being spread around like water
to everyone/anyone like any other spam.

It was Piper's entire army.ca post about Panjwayi.

Funny thing is the post even includes the last part where the mods
can erase it if it's inappropriate and also has the HOM reference
which no one will understand.


You're famous now piper... the internet NEVER forgets.
Guess someone should submit to www.snopes.com that it's real

All I have to say about this is "jeez"...  Not my intent with the post.

Can't wait till the telephone game begins with this and the post will end with 'purple monkey dish washer'.

Then it'll say I had both arms and legs blown off by enemy A-10 fire while in the middle of Iraq, but I'll be french and regret not being able to play the bugle again... its my post, I can mock it if I want.

It was a good post.  I know I sent it out to many of my CF and Ex-CF friends with the link back to your post.  (Shameless advertising for Mike.)  I was surprised to have it come back in an email originating from the other side of the country, from someone I have never heard of before.  You'll probably find that it had already hit the email Spam net within ten seconds of your posting it.   ;D  ..............................................It should be entered in SNOOPS as being true.

Well.. I figured if I was going to be sensationalized on the internet it would be for something more embarrasing or stupid... Like dancing around drunk, wearing nothing but a kilt and trying to play a jig on the pipes... badly.  This does happen occasionally (mens christmas dinner).

Oh well...  I think someone should enter it into snopes as false and see what kind of a stink it will raise..  ;D

I too, felt the need to pass this post on.  I thought it was well written and feel that others need to hear the real truth, feelings of those serving.  The media cannot bring the truth as those who were there.  Well Done Piper!
