it depends on the Unit/Base
we have the " three foot" rule in my shop and we finally convinced the
outgoing CO of the benefits of Polartek v. wool toques

Ah Ghallman...you‘ve opened your mouth without thinking once again. I
don‘t think you have any idea what the "leadership" has decided.
The current policy on boots is very simple. Cbt boots are to be worn in
Garrison, gortex boots may be worn if you have a medical chit everyone
seems to wear them anyway. Cbt Boots, gortex boots, jungle boots, hot
weather boots are allowed to be worn in the field.
Once the new boots are issued they will become the CF Standard for
garrison. I can‘t imagine why you wouldn‘t be able to wear the jungle
boots, etc in the field.
I have to tell you, why spend alot of money on a cool pair of gortex
boots you will be issued in the next year? I‘ve worn cbt boots for
years, in garrison and in the field, and they are adequate for what they
are put through.

Man if you think that the current boots are adequate then its you that has
stepped on your ****. When referring to what the leadership has decided I
am referring to dress Regs. I‘d also like to see some proof on what you
say about wearing gore-tex boots after getting a sick chit. Is gore-tex
boots the CF‘s way of curing trench foot. Do medic‘s now hand them out
like band aids or something because I‘ve never witnessed it or met anyone
who has. ???????????????
