I like the reflective tape.It is designed to be ugly so that there is no clamoring for it to be worn off the ship!
CPO1 Parent recommended the reflective tape for our NCD's and was shot down. For the reason of it not then being suitable for walking out dress.I like the reflective tape.
But NCDs are, by definition, not walking out dress.CPO1 Parent recommended the reflective tape for our NCD's and was shot down. For the reason of it not then being suitable for walking out dress.

What's the change besides the reflective tape ?
I should have read the post lolIt is a different cam pattern from what they adopted 10 years or so ago. Also, it is available in two different fabrics; a sea version with FR properties and a shore version without.
I have the same question. Seems like everyone has SEAL envy.Sorry, can someone enlighten me as to what benefit the camo pattern has in a maritime environment? Are you supposed to blend in with the bulkhead of the destroyer / frigate you're on?
He just got his chit this week...What I want to know is how the Sea Training Group Chief has such a garbage-looking neckbeard. Sort yourself out Chief!
Just to expand on this question…. Does he want to be seen or not??Sorry, can someone enlighten me as to what benefit the camo pattern has in a maritime environment? Are you supposed to blend in with the bulkhead of the destroyer / frigate you're on?
Being the "grey man", literally....Just to expand on this question…. Does he want to be seen or not??
SEAL envyWow. That’s fugly.
I still don’t get the fetish for camo outside an operational land setting. And that goes for everyone wearing expensive CADPAT in air conditioned offices.
