Don't know why I didn't start this thread before.  [screw woodworking >:D]  Confirmed life-long pinball geek here and I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

I currently have 3 machines but I may see what is available this weekend in Ottawa.

A couple of fun days of pinball for a silly cheap price.

Curious. I'd love to add one to the shop (yeah, the WOODWORKING shop)

If you don't mind: what's a decent shape machine cost? I don't need nuance or popular titles, just a ballpark on a run of the mill, if there is such a thing.

Honestly the prices are stupid nowadays as its coming back as a popular thing.  You can get a decent older machine starting about $1400.  It all depends on the 'collectability' but I'm lucky as I only care about playing and not what's cool to own.

A good thing to do is just search pinball in Kijiji and it won't take long to see the difference in machine prices.

EDIT: NIB [new in box] machines are starting around $6000.

Holy shit.

That might be unfair, I don't know a thing about them other than that I'd love to have one, or an old upright arcade game (which I know an equal amount about)

Your man cave cred goes way up in my books.

Arcade games have come down,.......you can play better video on your home machine, can't do that with pinball.

Fair dues.

Pinball would be what I'd lean toward because anybody can play it and have fun - and yeah, it kind of sucks to be able to watch the news in better def than the Double Dragon machine.

I just looked at Kijiji locally and see tables going for 500 bucks and up. Claims that the 500 dollar table "works well", but it's Kijiji and all. I guess this shows me how much I need to learn before bothering!

Really....'limited'edition'?...blah, blah, blah.......$12,000?....not even if I had the money.  I don't even like the game...

Exactly.

Here's one you can buy this weekend:

You Ottawa folks need to come out to this. The game setup is awesome........and I'm still hanging in the top 24 for the O- town throwdown.  :)

Great show going on June 2/3 in Hawksbury.  Should be over 100 machines all set on free play for $20 entrance each day.

Google Canada Pincon for more details....

Same weekend as the Army Run if one needs to do something on the Saturday.

Anyone in Ottawa for this weekend's army run can also get their geek on by attending the Ottawa Pinball Show.

Most pinball/arcade playing you'll get for $20.  I'm bringing an Italian game called Combat....cool hard to find game.

And time for the Ottawa Pinball and Gaming Show 2019 version.    Hopefully we don't get "tornadoed" this year.  Its a great day[s} of fun and, for a measly $20, you could play hundreds of dollars worth of games if you were coin dropping.  Hey, show up early enough on the Friday morning and you can get your PT by helping us load, and set up, the games.  I actually learned a lot by doing this first year....

Though I won't be held responsible if you go to the show and in 3 years your garage looks like this and your significant other is giving you the stink eye because they are starting to infiltrate the house...... :tsktsk:

Try this place next time you're in Vegas. Each table has an index card telling you the game's history, AND YOU CAN PLAY THEM!!!!
