Haven't been able to find something specifically on pets. Wondering what people do when they have an animal prior to joining and then join what they do with the pet, what you can do until you get a PMQ & etc..
My situation is different, I am a reservist going over to reg force. But I figured most people that have a similar question are in the above situation of just joining as a fresh recruit, not my own. I have a dog and am unsure what I should do with her upon my CT/OT going through to full time. I have been told I will most likely be able to skip BMQ as I've been in for a few years however I still need to do trades training as I will not be going reg force as my current trade.
This point is mostly just to help out other people with a similar question but I'd like some experience of you reg force folk who have been in a similar situation in the past or at least have a dog/whatever & how you take care of it. I'm aware they cannot be in shacks so is there any way to go directly into PMQ's due to having a dog or is this unlikely?
Any random information on it would be appreciated. Whether it is direct experience in regards to having one and the issues you've faced or anything you'd like to share.
Thanks!
