Does the RCAF plan to launch new DEU and to change the way its members salute? From Remembrance Day Ceremony today.

If they were reenactors, why did they get such prominent and official position? This is another one of them, saluting the Governor General.
Either:

A) 80th Anniversary Year of D-Day; or

B) A British attempt to re-colonize Canada, starting with a traditional re-imagining of Canada’s armed services; or

C) An Über-Walter snuck into the ceremony after bludgeoning the fully-compliant RCAF member and stashing their unconscious body somewhere not to be found until well after the ceremony…

There were people in historic uniforms at the National War Memorial. It's the 100th anniversary of the RCAF so having the guy in an old RCAF uniform in a prominent position makes a lot of sense. The Parade Commander and Parade CWO were RCAF this year, and the GG was in an air force uniform.

There was at least one guy in an old CA uniform up there as well, he's just out of the frame in those shots.

I don't know if they were CAF members picked because they fit the uniforms, or just re-enactors.

Sounds about right.

When I was at JSR the sigs had some throw back uniforms they would have people in for mess dinners and such..

I think its definitely more of an army thing, I know 1 RCHA in Shilo also has old uniforms they get members to wear for special events. I knew an air force Met Tech that was dressed in RCHA full dress for an event.

Hate to break the news to you: It's the same airman, just a different angle. ;)
I saw the service on TV and there were at least 2 people wearing that dress. I picked up on it as well.

But I agree that they are probably just old RCAF uniforms to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the RCAF, and not a sign of anything else. I know some people who will be disappointed though.
