I seriously thinking of re-applying for Reg Force, but I have some worries about if I'm wasting the CF's time and mine.
The thing is in 1996, I was enrolled and at BMQ in St.Jean but left for no good reason. Really regretted it and it bothered me, givving up on myself. I then reapplied in 1999 and was again enrolled but again didnt finish BMQ, the reason being medical. I had a problem with my big toes that required surgury. The CF doctor told that the operation he had done was only a temporary solution and that a civilain doctor would be needed to permently fix the problem. I was out of training for almost a week and half (doctors orders) and because of the time missed was placed in Stop Training. In stop training they told me that I would miss the start date of my MO training and I wont be able to continue with the MO I was enrolled for. They dont know what to do you me and I was given a release (not medical) and told to reapply later by the sgt in ST.

Its now six years later, I had the surgury to fix my feet and went college, graduting last spring. I want to reapply but worry with my past service record they may take one look at it and throw my app in the trash.

Any thoughts about what their attutide will be or do you think they will give me a hard time but be professional and accept my application. The part I'm worried the most about is what to say in the interview.

Any opinions and advise no matter how brutally true.

Apply and don't worry about it.  If you are determined to see it through this time and you communicate that to the CFRC/D you should have no problem.  Good Luck.

1. Look.... the worse that can happen is that they will say no. Considering that you aren't in right now - you have nothing to lose.

2. What do you say?... well, True that the 1st time you bailed, what happened on the 2nd time was entirely out of your control... use that as a "sell point" for your reapplying. Tell em that your feet were "broke" and you've had them fixed. Not being satisfied with sitting around feeling sorry for yourself, you went back to school, studied hard and have recently graduated. You aren't the same person you were 6 yrs ago... you have more to offer now than you did back then...

Be confident, be truthful, sell yourlsef

Good luck
