Montreal municipal elections - I'm lost

We are voting in municipal elections here in Montreal in a month and I'm lost on who to vote for. 
One candidate is a separatist, ex PQ leader. 
And the number three man in the current mayors government was an FLQ member who robbed a church bingo hall of about $35.00 and was fined $25.00 for doing so.  He is unrepentant and still supported by our mayor.
I'm lost on who to vote for and trust, an avowed separatist or an separatist thief?

I would like to say lucky me, I live in the south shore... but my choice isn't any better.

I'd go with the separatist thief on the theory that  perhaps he is stealing from the separatist platform in an attempt to attract votes and will disavow the party line once elected.  And if that doesn't happen odds are probably pretty good that he'll go down for stealing party funds and won't be around to do much more damage.
