Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) - Suffield has a requirement to provide high quality monoclonal antibodies against botulinum neurotoxin A (BoNT/A) that have been tested in vitro to have inhibitory activities against BoNT/A. DRDC Suffield will use these antibodies to test their prophylactic or therapeutic efficacies in the neuronal culture system and in animal models of botulism.  Currently DRDC estimate that supply requirements are antibodies in three forms: a plain monoclonal antibody (without a tag), a monoclonal antibody tagged with an immunogen for easy detection, and a monoclonal antibody tagged with the tat-peptide to make it cell membrane permeable, over the period of approximately three years ....
