"PMA 1-2 EDO 104 Benefits for married common law members" this is a direct quote from CFLRS website schedule for the first week of basic.  Does anyone know what this means? why would married recruits have differant treatment?

Looking what the title is implying is that during the first week on BMQ candidates recieve a class on Benefits for married common law members.  I don't think this is a case of anyone being treated differently just a normal class to pass on vital imformation for those candidates.

It would involve things such as medical and dental benefits as well.

also not paying R&Q and sep entitlement, and LTA as well. Things are generally different for married/common law mbrs in all courseing/deployments/exercises etc. A very basic example, you single types will pay rations and quarters, married folks will not, it is not proper to expect a mbr to support their family, be seperated from the family inducing a distance based stress and couple that with an additional cost (R&Q) and you have the potential to creat a sticky situation. For single types the Queen will pay to break your lease, put your stuff in storage and ship you where she needs you to be. In return you pay for your chow.
Hope that made things nice and muddy clear for you
