One of the worse things they could do.For your reading pleasure
I think it was well intentioned, but not well thought out.
There's an exterior ring of guns in that meme of every red trade in the CAF being run into the ground with high op tempo...
The RCN had one green trade; they killed it (stewards). Not to worry, the other trades that will backfill those positions are uh...red. It's okay, we'll transfer those stewards into those trades and er... no I guess we won't, well er... OFFICERS CAN MAKE THEIR OWN BEDS.There's an exterior ring of guns in that meme of every red trade in the CAF being run into the ground with high op tempo...
I get the 20 days as well....however with my hi tempo job and 30 leave days each year I'll be hard pressed to take it. Not every MSE will get either, lots won't and some of most distressed positions ie EWK's on HDW Class will be hard pressed to take it. They should of just gave it to everyone. The RCN had one green trade; they killed it (stewards). Not to worry, the other trades that will backfill those positions are uh...red. The admitting of the mistake and the reversal is old news. In fact that was announced some months ago, and its not a full reversal at all. The leave bonus and the chaos it will cause is the point.I wasn't saying Huzza to the leave bonus, BTW, but to the fact that the RCN realized that the merging of the engineering trades was a mistake and they are now reversing it.
It’s almost like the Brits told us not to after their failed experiment.I wasn't saying Huzza to the leave bonus, BTW, but to the fact that the RCN realized that the merging of the engineering trades was a mistake and they are now reversing it.
How can we give a subgroup of the RCN special treatment while undermining morale for the remainder, having a likely fairly severe operational impact and grow overall resentment. Oh, and don’t spend a penny?I think it was well intentioned, but not well thought out.
What is this Cert 4 you speak of.................?Follow the path of W Eng and combine the trades...it worked perfectly for them....then condense the school from a fully staffed organization to...not that....then attempt to train all the junior W Eng folks whilst the fleet is in the midst of the FELEX/MLR so they can't actually sail and get experienced...and...wait...why did we lose 56% of the East Coast CSE Chiefs within a 24 month period...and why did...oh....oh no....oh...oh dear....how do we fix....um....
NOTHING IS WRONG
NOTHING TO SEE HERE
KEEP UP WITH THE DEPLOYMENTS
RISK ACCEPT THE MATERIAL CONDITION OF THE SHIPS
And.....good luck with this RCN. You are truly scoring an 'own goal' by showing this type of favouritism to the MARTECH world over the others that are nearly as bad off.
The only difference is that the MARTECHs are the only trade who's absence from a ship will prevent it from sailing.
No Cert 4 - no go to sea.
It is almost like the RCAF told you not to, after our failed experiment with 500 series amalgamation…It’s almost like the Brits told us not to after their failed experiment.
Not sure what ships you have sailed in, nobody has ever made my rack for me…The RCN had one green trade; they killed it (stewards).
