Hello, I have just finished grade 11 and I am going into grade 12 in British Columbia.  I plan to join the Armed Forces through the RoTP program.  I have already talked to a reqruiting centre about how to join and requirments etc.  If I get in I plan to be a pilot, but I know that everyone wants to be a pilot and that it is really hard to become one.  This is why I am posting here.  If I can not be a pilot, I would like to do something with computer programming in the army but I am not sure what jobs there are to do.  What current jobs are there in any of the three fields of the forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) that have to do with computer programming?  Thanks.

Your school Guidance Councilors should have books and websites that should give you all that information.  (Even in BC  ;D )  You will find many answers in the FAQ on this site and then you can surf the Air Force and RMC portions of the site to get a feel of what you may be in for.

I don't know about computer programming, but check out things like electrical engineering and maybe signals...they do a bunch of commuications and tech stuff.

Yes, I know that, but that does not mean that those stations are no longer exsisting.

Sweet mother of God.   Do a google search on the DEW line and learn a little history.

So what you are telling me is that not a single building from the DEW line, Pinetree Line or Mid-Canada line exists anymore?  They are all destroyed or shut down to not be used for any purpose for anybody?
