Humvee?? Madness, absolute bloody madness. Ok, it‘s mineproof, bulletproof
and whatever-proof, but it‘s wide, really wide, too wide. If you could
somehow narrow it by a foot or two, now that might be an interesting
proposition, but I hear lately that our new jeep would be a 4 door lsvw, now
I‘m not sure if they‘re crapping me but if it‘s the case I have this feeling
that many soldiers will go ape****.

Perception is often deceiving, I did a quick check at the DND web site and at
the AM General site. Check out the corresponding dimensions, youll be
surprised.
Iltis:
Length: 3.982 m
Width: 1.520 m
Height: 1.937 m reducible to 1.370 m
LSVW
Length: 5.65 m
Width: 2.01 m
Height: 2.685 m
Weight: 3,349 kg
LAV-3
Length: 6.93 m
Width: 2.66 m
Height: 2.17 m over hull 2.7 m over turret
AM General Hummer
Curb Weight 3198 kg / 7050 lbs
Length 4.686 m / 184.5 in
Wheelbase 3.302 m / 130. in
Width 2.197 m / 86.5 in
Height 1.905 mm / 75. in
It just looks wide, which gives it a look cool factor of at least 9. -
