How to edit post? Searched already.....

I feel like an idiot, but I've searched (which wasn't very helpful), and I've dug through the help section, but I can't figure how to edit a post.  They're talking about a modify button, where is it???

it will be on the top of your post to the right, beside the quote icon....remember you can only change your post within 24 hours, then the modify icon goes bye bye.....

Oh, weird, now I see it now...
What's with the 24 hour restriction?  I was trying to edit a post in the Application Process Samples thread, but obviously it wouldn't let me....

It saved us from idiots posting kife and then changing it later and pleading innocence.

I will add to Bruce by saying if it is a harmless edit (ie. spelling, addition, etc) you can PM a member of the DS and we'll add it for you.

I was wondering if there is anyway we can change the topic title of a thread we started. For example, I started Recent Chemical Technologies (www.forums.navy.ca/forums/threads/91633.0.html), but I realised a bit too late that a title such as Recent warfare Technologies is better as it gives a wider spectrum to the thread.

Hi Antoine,

I've renamed the thread per your request. The easiest way to do this in future is just to use the "report to moderator" link on your post and let us know.
