Interesting, thanks for the link...did a Sea Cadet Exchange to Germany in Juy 1981, we were guests of the Deutsche Marinejugend and Marinekameradschaft in Flensburg, but saw lots of W. Germany (plus a bonus excursion to Berlin) as they chauffered us around in the VW Bus ;D

Saw the ruins of the U-Boat pens in Kiel, plus U-995 (not for the claustrophobic...) and that big Laboe Naval Memorial (Marine-Ehrenmal)  - very sobering...
