There are some holes in this story from QMI, shared with the usual disclaimer:

BARRIE, Ont. — Grenades, with their pins removed, were found in Value Village's donation bin Thursday morning.

Police were called to the store, which was then evacuated.

Store manager Lee-Anne Dryden said employees discovered the grenades while sorting through the donation bin.

Police are reminding citizens that donation boxes aren't garbage bins. Those who donate goods other than what's wanted can be charged, police said.

They must be looking for someone who can't spell: it's a DONATION bin, not a DETONATION bin.  ;D

It just goes to prove that you can find almost anything at Value Village.

It's been a while since I've thrown a grenade, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but don't they produce unpleasent side effects when stored without pins?

Not to mention an incredibly short shelf life.

Paperweights that look like grenades. Available by the dozens at any gun show.

A Sig Op
Usually 5-7 second's. Could be very detrimental to
someone's health. LOL After throwing of course.

They're pretty detrimental to someone's health if you hold onto 'em, too!

Didn't that happen to Woody Harrelson's character in the Thin Red Line?
