Hello,
At the estate sale of a deceased Canadian Lt General, I spotted two ship's crests: HMCS Bonaventure and HMS Broadsword. I speculate these were gifts given by the ship to General when he visited them (the time frame would have been about right). These crests are the AUTHENTIC cast (plaster?) crests commonly given as mementos and going-away gifts. Both show surface wear on the paint. They are in their original condition. Both are mounted on hardwood bases.
I really don't know what they might be worth. Make me a reasonable offer and I would be happy to see them in the hands of someone that appreciates them.
Additional photos can be provided. Located in Ottawa.
