Noneck,
I seriously hope that we don't see you at First Beach practising your Welsh parkour at 5am. Therea re some rather large 'Rainbow Warriors' down that way - you may never get past the bath house...
Parkour is nice, but a broken leg never helped any hot pursuit. I'm amazed at all the gear some troops are carrying these days in the cities. You really don't need it. The secret is to learn how to do without, and rely on good support from the Ops room and other units. Wear as little gear as possible (flak jacket, rifle, radio/ECM, belt/tac vest with water bottle and a few mags). Fight in teams arranged in depth so that you can direct cut off groups to catch the little b*stards you're chasing.
Also, train like crazy with the kit you will be wearing in the street. In the UK we did alot of running around mock cities and assault courses etc in pre-NI training. I also recall a few cross country 10 milers with belt kit, flak jacket and personal weapons. Who needs rain gear when you're wearing body armour? Chin ups and rope climbing with the kit on helps too.
But there is the LCF thing. Chicks dig Parkour...
