Note this is for CIC, so it may be different for Regular and Primary Reserve. After reading on the site, it says that the 'Clothing Online Reserve Replacement Clothing Trial' is for reservists.
I get (CIC-Army) 250 points for use. An example of how much things are 'worth' is: short sleeve service dress shirt is 15 points, trousers are 36 points, service dress coat is 120. I know that CIC Air and Navy get more points, because they have winter and summer weight stuff.
With this 250 points, I can order anything that I want, in any quantity that I want, within parameters that have been pre-set. For example, the most short sleeve shirts that I can 'purchase' is 15. Why anyone would want 15 shirts in one year is beyond me, but there you are.
Anyways, at the end of the first year of ordering, if you have any points left, they will roll them over, up to a maximum of your yearly allotment. For example, I get 250 points a year, so the maximum that could get rolled over would be 100, meaning that the maximum points in my account would be 350.
Now, you can also make cash purchases, too. For the shirt it is valued at $8.35, pants $27.80, tunic $79.70. And there is also a maximum number of these items that you can buy as well. So, if you had used up all your 'points' shirts (15 x 15 = 225 points), you could then buy 15 more with cash / credit card sales (15 x $8.35 = $125.25).
