Hi everyone..

I had a quick question regarding how long is should take to get a response once they send your medical records to Ottawa.  Heres my situation:

I wrote my cfat and had my medical and interview in the same day last month.  My interviewer and someone else in the recruiting center told me that because my first choice was Infantry that I would be contacted very soon with a job offer.  There was two things I had to do first though, pay off my parking tickets, and get these forms filled out by the specialist that performed a few surgeries on my face (they wanted his prognosis, diagnoses and some other information about the procedure).  So the next day I went down to Toronto and got the forms filled out, brought them back to the recruiting center and now its been the waiting game.  The guy that gave me the medical said that he would send the forms to Ottawa the same day that he received them, but its been about 3 weeks now I'm a bit anxious to get the results..  I don't really think they would turn me down considering the surgery was only to remove a bump from my cheek.

Has anyone been in the same situation??  How long was it until you got the call??

Thanks!

Sean

Thanks .. I found one thread that was related.. and its a bit out of date.

It would also help is half the threads I tried to view didn't say:

"An Error Has Occurred!
The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.  "

Odd?  All those links worked for me.  One is a bad link to the wrong subject on MSN Speak, but all the others that are relevant work.

I think he means links produced by his search (?)

If they have been removed, then they shouldn't show up in a Search.  Good Question to put to Mike.

It was mostly links in the Infantry FAQ that were giving me that error..

Last month you say? I've been waiting for about 10 months now, Infantry Reg Force. Happy waiting. :salute:

Due to my, ahem (let's call it......maturity) I had to submit some additional paperwork as part of my medical package. It took just under three weeks to come back.

Relax, it'll be done as soon as they can get it done. Just keep in touch with your recruiter.

Good luck.

Aye, I too had to get that pesky medical form filled out and it was only like 3 or 4 weeks.  I recall being told it takes 3-6 weeks for the forms to get back from Ottawa so you may be getting an update soon.

Don't worry there are many medically questionable specimens getting through  ;D

I went through the regiment that I am joining and thing went by really fast.  I start parading on Thursday and i only applied about three weeks ago.

SeanC- I was in the same situation as you- get forms filled out and then have the file sent to Ottawa-  this was only a few months ago.  My file was sent up in early Aug. and came back in mid September.  So 4-5 weeks.  But I have prior service, so that may have made the review different from an initial medical review.  But anyways, good luck.

It took almost 2 months for my medical stuff to come back from Ottawa.  Happy waiting!

They send you results of your medical back to you? Directly to your house or what? I had to submit a few extra forms for my allergies also and I'm anxious to know. I never even knew you would get to see them unless someone called and said you failed or something....
