I never received my end dec 17 pay statement, and yesterday my mid Jan 18 pay statement was released.
Interestingly, my end dec pay included a large backpay ( from a few years of not receiving specialist pay I was entitled to) .
The backpay was a little short from my calculations ( which simply used the difference in pay I received from the pay I should have received month by month , and applied a tax rate appropriate). Others who have received backpay over the past year received a pay statement with a detailed month by month breakdown of the backpay , the total gross backpay and the taxes.
The clerks don't seem too worried about this, and provided me with a printout from the pay system ( a series of pages with confusing fz codes etc) that neither them or me can totally comprehend. The sheets they provide only give total additions and deductions, not broken down so I can double check.
I think its crazy ( and rather " convenient" ) that I don't seem to be entitled to a pay statement, and need to justify it somehow as to the reason I want to double check the numbers used in calculating my backpay.
thoughts ??? tips ???
