Hello everyone,

Ive just got in as an inf officer. I've been talking to some of my friends about training and I'm beginning to question if I'm cut out for this.

I'm a shorter guy (5'4), 150 lbs. I anticipated struggling a lot more with the physical stuff than others, but from the sounds of it the training seems impossible for someone of my stature.

Should I just switch jobs ? I haven't signed yet.

Do or do not. There is no try.

Several of my platoon commanders as a section member, a section commander and a platoon 2 I/C weren’t hulking brutes. They were smaller, slightly built and incredibly smart, and were quick learners. Do the PT and learn from the Sgts and WOs

This infantry officer doesn't seem to have been disadvantaged by stature.

When I started Inf O training I was 6'4" and 165 lbs. The training was hard but doable.

I lasted 40 years.....but am definitely not 165 anymore!
