This blog has video and some interesting theories.

Hi, I run www.genuinewitty.com. I've been following the anarchists who are behind the disturbance yesterday. If you have any questions about them, I'm happy to answer.

I'm not military, but have family members who have fought during WWII, and was totally disgusted with what happened. It's my intention to let as many people as possible know who's behind it.

Cheers,
-Greg

Hello Greg and welcome to the site.

I just spent a bit of time surfing your blog; interesting and nice to find an inside perspective to the occupy movement that isn't dripping with rhetoric.

Some of those characters affiliated with various anarchist movements are quite the pack of losers.  It sounds all great for them to call for violent tactics and say you're for revolution, but when all they can do is smash a window at the GAP, it shows they are a pack of cowards with no real sense of a true cause.

Oh dear... that's just... embarrassing.

I'm not sure what these people think they accomplish in such 'protests'. What are they trying to raise awareness of exactly?  The 'evil' government?

The activist world appears to be full of people who are paranoid, and lack the critical thinking skills to pick a constructive agenda.

There's a lot more to most of the anarchists than it it looks on the surface. They are backed and financed by some very influential people in the NDP- names like Judy Rebick, Don Davies, Libby Davies, and David Eby (running against Christy Clark in the next BC election.)

From what I can tell, they are operatives for the NDP- most of their actions have some sort of ulterior motive that helps them politically. That said, in this case, I believe that Julian Ichim went rogue. Many people in their community wouldn't support him.

But, he does have a lot of support from the union/NDP establishment. All you have to do is search Ichim's name on Rabble.ca and you will find 30 articles promoting his nonsense...

The only thing that will stop them is to expose who they are and what they have been up to. That's where I come in...

I enjoyed reading your site. Quite educational. Like roaches - if we shine the light on them they scurry away into some crack in the wall.

Agreed - thanks for sharing the info.

FYI, our members have shared a fair bit of open source info on the G8/G20 shenanigans here

Hmn.  So far I too have enjoyed your site.  Thanks for the link.  I've been to Rabble quite a bit, lurking, reading their stuff.  I don't buy into into but like to see what makes them tick.  Your blog is spot on.  It's interesting because I like your approach.  Nothing wrong with social activism especially in our society, but I respect the way you are bringing to light the "a**holery" as you called it.

Edited for grammar.

As a counterpoint, attached is what some Afghan women involved in their own protest  in Toronto have to say about what happened, from their tumblr blog - more of their view at rabble.ca here.

Enjoy  ;D

There's so much garbage in that PDF that I've started to smell it through my screen.

The most hateful and divisive thing in the entire English language is the hyphen.  Also, I weep that anyone can see Remembrance Day as glorification of war... it is anything but.

I've done some research on the Rabble article, and the two Afghani women behind the protest. They are deep in with the anarchists...

Just an observation, if I may?  I like what your doing, vermin thrive under rocks, and good on you for trying to flip a few over.  However, it may be more to your advantage to trim back a bit on the "vile, disgusting..." etc rhetoric.  As soon as that kind of personalization enters into it, credibility suffers, and you lower yourself to the level of the extremists you're fighting, then they beat you with experience.  Your blog, your opinion, your bandwidth, and ultimately you'll write it the way you see fit, just food for thought, and keep up the good work.
