CFAT and medical passed, but.....

Just passed my CFAT and medical today but I'm a little confused of what happend today and why, my issue is that I was aiming for Aerospace telecommunications information system technician, I didn't make the cut for that but after pushing the career counselor to acknowledge my upgrading I did for academic math 2 years ago all of a sudden more doors opened up for me and I was eligible for information system technician but not ATIS? And if you look at the basic requirements for both you need a higher level math for information tech then you do with ATIS. Can anyone clarify this for me?

It’s possible your CFAT score was high enough for one trade but not the other, despite the similarities in requirements.
