Worth a read. I was there. The General was most impressive; one can see why he's CDS. Not Rick Hillier but no-one else could be. The CDS was enthusiastic, very relaxed, spoke fluently in both official languages--much off the cuff, was funny, forceful and commanding at times. A bit of a bulldog. The CDA Institute and the CDA held their annual seminar and general meeting on 26-27 February 2009. With keynote addresses from the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and National Defence, addresses by prominent military, academic and policy individuals and over 400 attendees, the event was a great success.
