Not sure where to put this but believe it should fall within the "Home Front".
I saw this on yesterday evenings news cast and was disturbed by it (perhaps a little touchy but none the less I am).

They (Canadian Olympic Committee) are asking all Canadian citizens to wear red, fly red, anything red to show support to the Canadian Olympic athletes. Now don't get me wrong as I do support the Canadian athletes, but the "red" was to show support to our Canadian Troops by wearing red on fridays.
The people that were discussing this were asked by the journalist what they thought of the fact that we (Canadians) were already wearing red on fridays to show support to our troops and now they (COC) are asking Canadian citizens to wear red all the time and to do various activities with the "red" to show support to the athletes.
Perhaps I am over reacting here, but believe that the COC could have come up with a different concept while respecting our Canadian Military personnel and their families.
