Calling in after being merit listed

I was just wondering after being merit listed is it a good idea to call in every so often and ask about the status of my application? Or is doing this pointless at this point since all I'm doing is waiting for someone to look at my application and call me?

Try to maintain contact with your CFRC at least once every 30-45 days, if just to call in and say "Hi, I'm still interested in joining."

You say in your profile ---->  Merit Listed: January 23, 2015 (I think)

Which leads to my next question.  Have you ever asked your CFRC if you are Merit Listed?  It's a simple question that isn't hard to answer on their part.
