British teen dies falling from plane after ‘battling passengers to open door’

Cutland was in a plane with another passenger and the pilot. Ten minutes into the flight, she unbuckled her seatbelt and attempted to open the door

Police said Cutland was in a two-door propellor plane with fellow passenger Ruth Johnson and the pilot, on her way back from the research trip. Ten minutes into the flight, however, she unbuckled her seatbelt and attempted to open the door. Seeing this, Johnson grabbed her leg, trying to keep her onboard.

“Ms Johnson fought for five minutes trying to hold her, but when she was exhausted and out of breath, she let go,” police told The Sun. “Alana then intentionally fell from an aircraft at 1,130 metres above sea level.”

Actually happened over a year ago, but still crazy. Appears that Cutland had a severe reaction to medicine she was taking and may have caused her to start hallucinating. Sad.

Well, she also had five "paranoia" attacks while on her self-funded research trip, but I suppose they could be attributed to the medication as well.  :dunno:
