BMQ for Reserves NCM

I'm heavily considering joining the reserves. There aren't many units around me so my options are limited to Infantry or something with Electronic Warfare(Signals Operator, Signals Intelligence Specialist, and Intelligence Operator), just to give some more info.

I'm researching and it looks like BMQ is done differently in the reserves and you mainly do it Friday night-Sunday afternoon for a number of weeks. This is fine, but I feel like I wouldn't be able to do my best or learn the most if I'm doing BMQ on the weekend after 5 days of attending Uni. I can't find much information, but I'm wondering if there is an option to partake in a reg force-style BMQ on my summer break or something? Obviously I will roll with whatever I have to, I'm just trying to learn as much as I can before I pursue this.

Thanks

During the summer, most reserve units offer a full time recruit course and trades course. You would have to contact the unit that you are interested in joining for more info.

Be warned that as it is mid June you most likely are too late to get on a summer course if you have not been sworn in yet as the application process to join the CAF can take a while.

Oh perfect that's a good reassurance. My learning style is NOT very fit for the weekend BMQ business.

I'll commit your point about it being late to memory. have not even applied yet so I was definetly not expecting to be on course this summer haha. Thank you very much.

Did you hear back on this? How were recruiting process? Any updates in the Signals Regiments on DP1 courses?

Let me know!
Thanks

Hey! Sorry I just saw your comment.
I put in my application, but ended up not going through with it as life got in the way, so I'm going to go through with the process in a year or two.
The day after sending in my application though, the regiment's recruiting officer reached out to me and asked me to come in for all my paperwork, medical testing, fitness testing, and apptitude stuff and do it all in one day. I think this shows that they're pretty eager to get everything done and get people into the regiment ASAP which is good.
