Best way to get to Richmond from Edmonton?

So I'm taking myself the wife and kids to Richmond BC from Edmonton.  However, whats the best way there?  A nice balance between time and fuel.  I'm doing the trip in one long haul not stopping for the night anywhere.  Anyone?

Edmonton - Kamloops is about 7 hours depending on your breaks, gas stops, speed and traffic. Kamloops to Richmond/Airport is about 4, again depending on traffic. So if you leave Edmonton around 6 in the morning, you should arrive in Richmond at about 7-8pm. It's a long drive, but scenic.

Shortest way is Edmonton - Jasper - Kamloops on yellowhead - Richmond on Coq. There is a $10 toll between Merritt and Hope.

Hwy 16 West to the BC Border, then becomes Hwy 5.  Take Hwy 5 all the way to Kamloops.  Take the Coquihalla Hwy all the way down til it joins the TCH #1.  All the way to Aldergrove, then look for the International Airport signs.  Follow them. Voila, Richmond.
