Hey everyone, this is CWO Wilson and i was the MWO of the basic parachuting course this year. I'm putting this post up to congratulate the 32 new brothers who completed the course this summer with flying colours. They all demonstrated extraordinary motivation and teamwork skills.

Watching them during precourse really brought back memories. Seeing them sweat, work, and bruise really showed me why they are considered Canada's best cadets. Although not everyone passed the course( started with 49 ended with 32), those who didn't pass still gave it their all and showed that they had a passion for the AIRBORNE.

When they all go back to their home corps, don't be jealous or think down on them because they are AIRBORNE. Remember not all of them will be swell headed or think they're better than everyone. Instead give them a chance to share what they have learned on the course and use their new motivational and team work skills in order to benefit for the corps.

Thank you

(the top cadet on the course this year is CWO Leblanc....give the "POPCORN" 25 for me next year)

AIRBORNE  :salute: :cdn:

Whatever punctuation you're talking about, the fact is that i put this thread up to congratulate cadets, and you are trying to ruin their moment. Let it go and just be happy for the cadets. People are supposed to be recognizing the meaning of this message..not criticize it.

please and thank you

GOOD JOB PARA 2005!!!!You've earned your wings!!!

MOD: ur = You are.

Didn't a Female CIC officer pass also that's what I have been told  :salute:

Yes a female CIC officer did pass the course. I met her last week, she seemed like a very good officer. She's the 2ic of 337 QYR.

two cic officers passed...the 2ic of the course this year passed (female), and the escort officer(the female officer who was on course) also passed

Congratulations to those new jumpers.  Wear your redleaf wings proudly and think of them as something to build upon.  This achievement is not the end or culmination of anything; this is a visible demonstration of your self-confidence, fitness, ability to work in a team, and a demonstration of trust in yourself, your comrades and your equipment.  :salute:

Good on you.

I was there for a good portion of the course. Never met a better bunch, of well deserving, dedicated, harcore group of guys, and of course our 2 officers! Looking forward to BPara 2006, but my heart is with session 54. POPCORN!!! :P :) ;)

do any of you have any pictures from the course?  i would love for you to email them to me.  i have been trying to get on that course for ever. and now i think my chances are over..    i am currently transfering over the the PRes, and i dont think i will get a chance to do the course now, seeing i am going to be an armoured officer.. :(  oh well, at least i can say i tried right..

Oh god, I miss para. Especially the poker and the jokes. I wish i could have finished with you guys. It's too bad, now i have to go through MOC change and wait till 4th year to get my wings, and it's no garantee.

If only I had just shut up and leave after finishing ground school I could have gotten the jumps and the wings in October.

hey aspiring officer shouldn't you bee studying? you have a long 5 years ahead of you. it is to bad about your wings though. i was really hoping you would get them. oh well i think you will have a chance during the 13 years you just signed up for
