Armoured to signals

Hi,

I've posted here before and I continue to have questions. I'm in the reserves and I am presently an OCdt with the armoured unit. I originally applied for the reserve signals squadron but they transferred me to the armoured regiment. They have me signed up for the BMQ  and it ends about a month before I go to BMOQ. I want to transfer to the signals squadron. When should I fill out the transfer papers before I go to BMOQ or after?

I am aware transfers can take a while.
