I have another question that is somewhat related but did not want to create a new thread. How many of the applicants for pilot/ACSO/ACO are actually selected to go to Trenton for the Aircrew Selection Test? And from that stage, how many are then accepted to RMC for one of those occupations? Is it easy to be selected to Trenton or is that almost as difficult as the test itself?
To go for CFAST testing you must first pass your CFAT test for one of the occupations Pilot, ACSO, or AEC. The pilot pass rate for the CFAT is 95th percentile or top 5% when scored relatively against others with a high priority placed in math, and spatial ability. I used CFAT, CFAT test, and lumosity to prepare.
I just underwent CFAST testing in CFB Trenton July 3-4 2024, which I did score perfect for all aircrew occupations.
it's composed of 20 tests, which combine to roughly 8 hours over 2 days, I used Lumosity, CBAT, and some websites to help prepare for it. The tests, test your mental arithmetic, multitasking, spatial awareness, memory, auditory and visual processing skills, among many more.
From the officers at the CFAST testing centre they said the pass rate for Pilot is roughly 30% of test takers.
10 people can take the test at one time with 2 sections happening each week, out of the 7 people plus me who took the test I was the only one to pass for pilot.
If you have any other questions I will be on here from time to time, honestly just got an account today but I will try my best to help. Good luck!
