Wondering if any Simcoe/Toronto/Halton paramedics who linger the forums could either PM or post here what 2016s CMEs were based on. Been looking around on google but havent had any luck.
I actually work with a bearded fellow who got to TPS's interview stage. Walked in with it and the first thing they said to him was "You couldn't even bother to be clean shaven for a job interview?" Needless to say they were not impressed.. he didn't go much further than that.
It's interesting what you'll be dispatched out to sometimes. I think the oddest thing I've been dispatched was a low priority lift assist for someone falling out of their chair.... which turned out to be something completely different heh.
If you're vegan during BMQ it'll be a little rough, as a lot of the food is generic in the sense that it's basically your standard caffateria food. There is a vegetarian station, but a lot of the time the vege meals will be made with eggs or milk. You might get lucky with the questionable bean...
It's not that they're being wiped. It's just that you can't expect and engineering job that requires hands on work(most of the time) with a degree, so it's either you choose to get your masters and/or Ph.D for some weird reason and try that way, or you go to college and take the practical...
I believe Med Tech branches into SARTECH eventually if you choose. Ultimately it's up to you what to do. EMR is more trauma side stuff unless you popped ASA to everyone. Up to you really.
The only wifi you have access to at the omega mess, but you have to apply for it prior to use. It's also terribly slow. There's a little trick to getting it faster though..
The only differences I can see there being is you doing basic air training as well as land. Unless air-specific...
I read the rest of your post but this part sticks out the most to me and so I'll just comment on that. My suggestion is stay in high school and get your GED at the very least.
Being on 16, you have your entire life ahead of you...
Yes that's the thing I dislike, I noticed it a lot when I was in school a few years ago. There would be PT PCPs getting 24-32hours per week while working FT at fire. They made a huge stink and not too long ago when management decided instead of going back to the top to look at people who wanted...
Just wondering, I've heard a couple different things lately in regards to TPS switching from a full-time model to a part-time casual style for new employees to build up seniority. Anyword on how that works with everyone being on as full-time?
You'll hardly have time to do that kind of stuff unless you're doing it on your weekends off if you no kit to attend to. So with that, just shove it in with your civvy stuff and bring it with you if you want. When they do the civvy inspection they'll ask you about it, give you an odd look, then...
I highly suggest bringing a couple sets of casual civvy clothes for when you get off indoc and you have your weekends... unless you wanna be that guy who wears his suit and tie to the mess ; ).
Pretty much echoing what everyone has said.
Canadian troops, US tech, and British officers 8).
I think it's because we're not a super populated country and our military isn't that large, so we're required to train our troops extremely well. An Infantry officer Captain and myself talked a...
These questions are more geared toward heavier call-volume locations.
With call volumes growing every year, and budgets stretching already stretched resources to the limit, I'm wondering how high-volume services manage scheduling when public servants are out past their standard 12hrs. In...
Hey all, mostly curious about this one.
Looking to see if anyone who is working in the aforementioned sectors have any tips for the interview/job selection process. I'm mostly wondering how the process to getting to the interview works for each sector, how they run it, what to wear(should be...
