The side with the most up to date information will likely make the better moves. Things like cloud based BLUFOR trackers, GPS radios that automatically send your grid when you send a report speed up things when time matters. Maps are great but when calling in a 9 liner, cutting that extra couple...
Yes, take Rheinmetall for example, they are the only ones manufacturing leopard components and won't allow IP to be bought or loaned to other companies to produce parts, even ones they don't currently make. It is a huge problem for every leopard 1 and 2 user.
There is room for improvement, CAF is experimenting with metal 3D printing to reduce costs for example. US navy for example successfully implemented it for parts needed for changing tires on a F18. Reduced the cost from 100k to under 10k
Was shared on Twitter the 4 optics being tested are the Burris RT-6, Primary Arms SLx6, Steiner T536, and Sig Sauer Bravo 5. I don't know how accurate this is as those first two strike me more as hunting/DMR scopes then battle rifle scopes.
Looks like Rheinmetall has put the new Skyranger 35 turret on a leopard 2 chassis. Sounds like a new contended for GBAD has joined the battle. Would be a good way to repurpose older leopard 2A4 hulls...
I worked as a cook, eventually an executive sous chef. There were years I couldn't even get 1 weekend off, period. Asking for any time off other then my randomly assigned days that were never together was an inconvenience.
Think I can count half a dozen jobs that saw me as a burden for asking for a weekend a month off. Many didn't understand military leave rules, and one even suggested I should "stop volunteering with the army" offered to educate her and HR but was turned down. Took 13 years to find an employer...

Talking with people who just came back, it wasn't hair color that made us look bad, it was poor leadership, training, and skirting safety regulations to the point it's only a matter of time until someone is killed. Blaming hair colour's is the easy button to avoid looking at the deeper issues.
The project seems to be moving along quickly, user trials are happening this summer for 6 months. However with all projects, roll out seems to be slowed by budget, so it may take a couple years to go CAF wide.
