Joined as an Infantryman on 06 Dec, 1956 at 6 PD Toronto.
The remuster came later after 4 1/2 years as a Bren Gunner, and then Infantry Signaller Driver/Op.

Question for the masses. I've seen a couple of posts in this thread that said one had to be a Sgt or at least MCpl to be CFR'd. Could I ask when this started.
My son was CFR'd from Pte to 2Lt in 1984

It was an Airforce woman from The Central Band this year. She shot a crow in the first phrase but recovered quite nicely. A lot of people probably wouldn't have noticed.
Just as an aside, this was only the second time since 1957 that I've missed the ceremony either as a participant or...
