I concur. There is already many prejudices against the military, no need to give any more fuel to the haters. When one accepts to wear the CF uniform, he got to realize it comes with responsibilities, and I'm pretty sure those responsibilities are very well covered during the formation. Every...
lol I'm gonna sound like a complete bootlicker, but I also agree with you! Someone who repeatedly fails to a the test simply can't be integrated in the CF. But someone who has had difficulties at a first attempt and fails, can very well get ready for a second attempt and succeed. The idea is not...
Oh, I completely agree with you! My post wasn't meant to be a criticism, and I'm sorry if it has appeared as such.
I was merely pointing out that a failure to a test did not mean a person isn't fit for the CF, and therefore that person shouldn't give up if she/he is determined to have a...
Considering the wide range of personality types needed in the Forces, I wouldn't discourage anybody who's determined to be part of the CF, only because they failed a test.
Studying in pedagogy, the very first thing we learn is that there are many intelligences. Not just 2 or 3, but 8...
Alright. As a Quebecker, I have to admit the "Bloc" mentality is definitely a reality. That "Bloc bubble" has kept Quebec population from really experiencing federal politic. And that most definitely has played into the last election. However, I don't think the NPD wave in Quebec is explainable...
I really liked those Ignatieff'S words you posted (way up there ^). They reflect something I've thought for a while, and tried to explain to people around me. Most people who think CF budget should be cut down argue that we should use diplomacy instead of military to solve international...
Thanks for the laugh! And happy I didn't fall into that unfortunate category.
I've been on a few forums and the archetypes you presented are alas found on all of them.
My fiance was on that crash. Thank God, he came out of it with only scratches, bruises and a sore back. From what I've heard, most injuries were REALLY minor, except for one guy who had a broken leg. They were extremely lucky in their bad luck. I have chills thinking about it. So much things...
I concur with what Technoviking says. I'd add that considering how colorful (to say the least) Cherry is, people wouldn't rely on him to inform them. He is a commentator, his job is to give his opinion. And I think that's how the audience considers his talk about all things military: opinion.
This is the only thing I agree with you about.
People don't understand what is really going on because they only see what the media let them see. Of course, war tends to be unpopular to begin with so it's no surprise most of the population is not supporting this mission. What the CF are doing...
