Keep in mind that if you score lower on the second attempt it overwrites your original test. They don't take the better of the two but the most recent.

Many major universities and colleges provide distance learning courses. I took leadership course through the University of Guelph that was part of a program. I would suggest discussing this option with your current school and see what they recommend for distance education.

Right now it is Construction Engineering Officer, Engineering Officer and MARS Officer. All I can recommend is keep your head up and stay motivated. I'm hoping this year everything works out.

Work on yourself and also a plan B while you wait. It has been 3.5 years since I first applied and there are people who have waited longer. I continue to volunteer and also working on professional designations. Everything I did to help my CF application also helped me excel in my professional life.

I can't speak for the exact graduate program you are looking into but many have a maximum allowable time limit of 5-7 years with continual involvement required. Even for part time students. Check with the schools/programs you are considering.

I've completed the B.Tech program from McMaster University and also a 2 year and 3 year Mechanical Engineering Diploma programs from George Brown College (Technician and Technologist). I dropped off my new application in January 2011 and I am still waiting on my education approval waver results...

If you need help running and have an iPod/iPhone, I would recommend the Couch to 5k or 10k app. It's a great system and offered the structure I needed to stay focused. I went from not being able to run around my block to running 10k three times a week.
