This is a little unrelated to the current topic of conversation, but does anyone know why the Harry DeWolf class is so limited in its ASW capabilities? I get it's an OPS, but it could stand to have something to counter submarines besides that helicopter.
The practice CFAT is significantly easier than the actual one. You have time to prepare, and based off that information should do well enough, but I would study none the less.
For RMC, they only really look at your English and Maths. Please keep in mind they care equally for your score on the CFAT and on your interview. By curiosity, do you intend on being air crew?
Congratulations on your promotion! The B.Eng admissions average is fairly high, at 89%. Although your swimming and cadet experience may make up the difference, pushing up to that 90 would almost certainly safeguard your admissions.
Good luck!
Congratulations! If you'd like, I along with a few others on this chat have an instagram groupchat with nearly a dozen people. If you'd like to join add me @haidendyck05
RMC has a an undress uniform that swaps out the patrol tunics for windbreakers and sweaters. It's a great balance, as it gives the option of looking more business-casual, while keeping the ceremonial uniform (patrol dress) looming sharp.
I think the reason for khaki in particular is its association with the CA during WWII. It also is probably the most recognisable symbol of a commonwealth army out there. I do like patrols, but I'd far rather see Khaki and regimental head-dresses (stetsons for cavalry, wedges/services caps, etc)...
I have a question, since you seem to know your stuff about this
What the hell is that killick in the middle wearing? Is it a rank specific uniform?
I really appreciate any information
Cheers
How about black tops for the new Forage caps? Give us a proper Battle of The Atlantic look for winter uniforms. We'd switch back to white tops during summer. Now that the tops of the forage caps are replacable, it would be a really cheap change
NWO, 89% average. I know another NWO applicant who got in with 83. Admissions averages for the arts are about 85, but with significant leadership experience, you have a chance to get in with lower marks than that.
I First saw the applicant portal update, and about a day later I received the offer via email. They are doing the bulk of selections from March 6th-April 11th, but late selections will occur into June.
