    Conflict of Interest

I don't think he sounds stupid at all, and I tend to agree with the majority of his posts in this thread so far. As I often see on online forums it appears that you have had a nerve touched, which usually leads to missing what other people are trying to get across. I don't think you came even...

AVN tech. school before basic, what?

I can vouch for John's Lunch. Definately a place to check out if you're in the local area. Havn't been there in a while but personal preference is to grab a Rootberer float from A&W right beside it and then head over for some food.

    Application Process Samples [2003 - 2018]

I found CFRC Halifax was very quick when it came to the testings and interviews aswell. The part I've had to wait the most for is that darn ERC, which I don't believe the CFRC has any control over.

Competition List Questions (formally called Merit List) [MERGED]

Alright, I guess I'll just give them a call and ask. Heh, I was actually going to PM you the question but decided not to bother you so I posted it. Thanks

Competition List Questions (formally called Merit List) [MERGED]

A quick question about merit list and your application process... Is your Military Career Counselor the only person to get in contact with that can tell you if you've been merit listed or not? I was just wondering if it was possible for the people at the front desk to open your file and give...

    Conflict of Interest

He doesn't want to hang around that long as he just wants to get the training and get out, which I would assume is why he called it "dreadful".

Which World War II tank are you?

"Russian T-34/76. Its combination of sloped armour, mobility, power, price, and speed makes this one of the finest tanks of the war. However, these advantages have a cost of comfort. Seat cushions were an unnecessary expense!"

Do Not Call (especially during dinner!)

The best solution would be to give them your credit card information. Then that paticular call will stop coming.

    The "waiting game"

But you wont :P. It has a way of staying in the back of your mind. I find trying to be pessimistic about it helps speed up the time. Tomorrow will be the end of one of my 2 week waiting periods and I just try to convince myself that another 2 week wait is going to follow. This way unless I'm...

Hurry Up..And Wait!! - Application Process Update

I am by far not an expert on this, but from doing a fair bit of reading on the subject I am of the understanding that except for very special circumstances applications are processed in a fairly equivalent manner. The only time your education is going to have an effect on the process once you're...

    Fun at RMC?

The question was "was there any fun to be had". When you take any answer to that question and strip it down to the raw base you get something resembling a "yes or no" answer. There's really no need for a comparison to be made. But, even though your question doesn't directly relate to what...

    Fun at RMC?

The question wasn't which was "more fun". The question was if there was any fun to be had at RMC. Which would mean that you would have actually had to have gone to RMC to be able to answer the OP's question. I disagree with your statement about comparisons. I can sit in front of a...

Hurry Up..And Wait!! - Application Process Update

The most logical answer would be that Luker is a practiced and naturally gifted fortune teller. The only reason he does not know exactly when he may get his job offer is because he acknowledges the fact that it would spoil the whole excitement and surprise of this event. Although others may...

Hurry Up..And Wait!! - Application Process Update

It's better that she gave you such a large time frame for your medical to be complete. Being given a shorter time frame is a lot more disappointing when they just line you up with another at the end. With the 6 week limit at least now if she calls you before it ends, it will be a lot more...

    Joining Reserves Questions Cadets

This thread brought some questions to mind that are related.... I read the "Incentive Pay Category for Cadets Joining The CF" thread and was wondering if this is still in effect today? The post is sort of old so I was just confirming. If it is still in effect since I was in cadets for 5 years...

    Interview advice (merged)

Those were definately the most troublesome questions for me. Some of them I could relate to rather quickly, but one or two I had to take a minute to formulate an answer. One minute with a recruiter staring at you from across the table seems like a really long uncomfortable time...

    Interview advice (merged)

The interview prep form was never even mentioned when I did my interview. Edit: If you're going to take the time to complete it anyway, why would you not bring it with you just to be safe?
