    May BMOQ?

Logistics folks don't really get a ay in where they end up, they post you to where they need people of your trade, be it air force, navy or army base, even if you are any of the elements. Put it this way Shilo is the PITs, nothing there really and imagine getting stuck there for 3yrs

CG...who did you have for SGTs and Captain? Just curious

    May BMOQ?

For the person going Logistic and AEC, the latter is a better chpice IMHO. Most of the folks I know that went LOGO, ended up in places they didn't want. Also note that once you finish BOTP, your first posting out of st jean is going to be 3yrs, which means it's a full move for you. Perhaps you...

    JANUARY 2009 BMOQ

It's a shame to read what happened to CG, we all know she was geared up for it. As mentioned, basic up is not like the real deal, for OCDTs anyway it's a lot tougher as she rightfully told you. 6hrs of sleep someone asks? Only on weekends would that happen. By 5am you are downstairs lined up...

    JANUARY 2009 BMOQ

Well BMOQ is 15 wks and BMQ is only 13 wks. OCDTs get  more crap during training because they are expected to lead. OCDTs do get to have a room to themselves though, as suppose to the sharing in BMQ

    Packing for Basic [MERGED]

For chair force, they take your muklucks, rain coat and pants, BEW, gas mask, one duffle bag, bush hat, tac vest, helmet, canteens, cc-bag back.

    Gas Chamber

Gas Gas Gas.....even more fun during BMOQ when the instructor calls it during a mission on Vimy at 2am in the morning when you've already gone on 3 mission and worn out. Nothing to it, it's all in the handling of the mask and how fast you can put it on, check for leakage, hood over your head...

    Leadership Potential Assessment Course

Again..LPAC is not a PO failure. What you don't want to do is screw your section mates over, if you do, the instructor makes a note of this and trust me other instructors would get to know you and give you a hard time. Wk 8 is when things start to get interesting, if you don't pass your C7...

    JANUARY 2009 BMOQ

Hope you guys on the officer course are enjoying it so far, swinging your arms around, carrying the cc-bag and canteen, looking dapper in those grey PT outfits, hanging around the blue break area for classes. It really is easy as long as everyone works together, failure to do that leads to...

    What is your military status?

That is the right answer  ;D Enjoy your time at st jean, when you are made CPC, make sure you kick arse. A couple of my buddies that went AEC are awaiting training to go to Cornwall

    Repatriation Row

I just got back from the repatriation parade in Toronto @ the coroners office. Thanks to mariomike for giving me directions. There were a few of us reg force officers and NCMs there. There was an injured soldier that came out after all the hearse arrived, and he got a round of applause from us...
