Bringing a knife and a book to BMQ

Listen....you can bring things like that, but you probably won't have a need for it until later on. Whatever doesn't need to be out for your inspections, end up in "civvie lockup" until you start earning your weekends off. You only need a knife for when you start to go to Farnham for the field...

Someone answer this please.....is the beret allowed with air force dress DEU without the jacket on? I ask because I saw a major wearing his short, with ribbons and a beret outdoors. Don't get me wrong, I like wedges potatoes, but can't stand the wedge

    Air Force Forage Cap

Just had a look on the Logistik website, and yes you CAN'T use points for the forage cap, you have to purchase it. It's currently listed for $50:20 without tax They seem to be out of the bigger sizes 7 1/8 and up. I am not a fan of the wedge

    CFB Trenton Open House

That was the least of my worries at the time. It's a shame the news outlets are reporting the pilot walked away "by himself". A fire fighter emailed CTV and said they were there 30 secs after the crash....where were they when I was struggling to get him out?

Embarrassing day for Deputy Fire chief of Toronto fire

Bunch of over paid buffoons. The organization itself is mostly made up of relatives and acquaintances too. I know many a good, willing and fit folks that can't get in for years now. They claim to be an equal opportunity employer too, funny how the work force doesn't represent the general public

National" Borders- Trouble at The Cornwall Crossing

I was in that part of the world recently on our way to a relative's cottage that is on the Quebec side in Dundee. I have never seen so much cigarette billboards in my life along a stretch of road. I also found out that the Mohawk folks did their banking on the Canadian side

    CFB Trenton Open House

Yes it could have been a lot worse. I was the first on the scene actually, and the person that got him out of the cockpit, dragged him away from the smoking and leaking plane, before the sar techs with a stretcher and fire fighters showed up. I had to jump over the fence on RCAF road to do this

    September 2009 BMOQ !!!

Don't forget you are not the only one the officer has to deal with, there are many just like you, and in between all that, he is conducting interviews, going over applications and conducting swearing-in ceremonies. Recruitment office is considered a "key assignment" worth 4 points on the...

    Packing for Basic [MERGED]

To the OP.....if you are on the officer course, then just take one pair of decent running shoes with you, that is all you are going to need. Take it from someone that went through the course recently with 90% infantry staff that ran you to the ground. The same runner can be worn for the gym as...

JSR Kingston posting units for CELE air (sig op) looking to deploy

Thanks 211RadOp. Unlike some of my colleagues, I actually want to get a couple of tours under my belt, and it looks like JSR can make that happen for me. You won't happen to have any contacts at 3 sqn or a name of a capt I can get in touch with just to find out the way things are structured...
