    Most Annoying Canadian! VOTE NOW!

I voted for Jack Layton though it was a hard choice between him and Margaret Attwood. I had to read a couple of books of hers in grade 12 English for independent study logs. That was around 14 years ago and I have never forgotten. :rage:

No Red Friday at Petawawa Timmies?

Why not a breastplate made from the coffee cup lids? It could protect from mudslinging.

A reply to Taliban Jack from Friends DownUnder

The average Canadian isn't living with this on a daily basis,  aside from whatever coverage the media deigns to give us on Afghanistan. Which often isn't very much. Yes people do forget, the terror of September 11th is gone, especially as it didn't happen here, but this 'forgetfullness'is an...

A reply to Taliban Jack from Friends DownUnder

Sometimes I think he knows the truth, other times I'm not sure, it's possible he really does believe what he's saying. If he doesn't though, and it is just to garner support, then does he think his opposition to it will have no effect whatsoever to the mission. Or is he really such a jerk that...

The Evacuation of Canadians from Lebanon Thread

Understood. Yeah that probably would have helped stop the complaints on this end. Honestly though, war zone and ritz aren't generally an association one would make.  ;) True we could adapt easily enough. No because they wouldn't have in the above case. Not saying the Lebanese did either...

This assumes he gets his head out of his ass long enough to see anything. Seriously though I wonder why he wants to go, if of course he's not just giving lip service to the idea. Does he actually want to see firsthand what is going on and how it is working and provide support or campaign for...

The Evacuation of Canadians from Lebanon Thread

As the evacuees were fleeing because of the fighting they shouldn't need anyone to tell them that. Who's going to take a tax or phone bill on vacation with them? Besides evacuating them is fine, but they should have to cover the costs. If however they were actually residents here the government...

    Army Responsible for Violent Crime

What do you want to bet that someone somewhere will do a study on this.  People claiming that our youth has turned to violence due to so much exposure to the war in Afghanistan on the news.

    Army Responsible for Violent Crime

It's a sympton that generally appears after listening to numptys, and other senseless beings. I find beating the emptyheaded culprits helps to relieve the pain. But as that is frowned upon, advil, a drink or humour can work as well. Or all three. Glad I could help.  :) Seriously though how do...

    Army Responsible for Violent Crime

How odd, there was rape, murder and assault going on when I lived in Ottawa too. 12 years ago. Perhaps the criminals back then looked into their crystal meth balls and forsaw the war and so turned to violence.  :o

A reply to Taliban Jack from Friends DownUnder

Well maybe, but generally not quite so umm, stupidly, overtly, mindlessly etc. They don't usually wish to be seen as lying, and he's doing it right out in the open where anyone can spot it if they so choose. Heh, exactly like a cheap rug, not smooth and neat and tidy, but a twisted, bumpy...

There is hope though, the NDP didn't win in any ridings in our provincial elections. I was so happy, (though that was marred somewhat due to the liberals getting in). Perhaps people are beginning to realise what a bunch of wacked out space junkies they are.

The Evacuation of Canadians from Lebanon Thread

;D You know though, we may end up compensating them for their rough ride, just think if they decide to sue over it. ::) And Layton would demand we pull our troops from Afghanistan to cover the cost.

The Evacuation of Canadians from Lebanon Thread

Unfortunately we are charging them nothing. We taxpayers are footing the 85 million dollar bill to evacuate these people from the country that they live in. :rage:  How screwy can things get?  Especially considering that normally the government asks people to repay them the cost of evacuation...

Well then, send him to Afghanistan and perhaps we'll have an exodus in the manner of the Pied Piper and the rats  :)

Does Layton ever stop lying? It's disgusting how he keeps ommiting all the pertinent facts and twisting the truth so blatantly How is it that people still listen to him when he has lost all credibilty.

Hey don't blame me, that's due to your (poor) choice of beverage, if you'd have been drinking rum and coke your body wouldn't have rejected it. >:D

Yep. Freaked me out when I saw it, and if it hadn't been chocolate there's no way I would have eaten it ;D
